11 WAYS YOU CAN EARN EXTRA CASH ONLINE

11 WAYS YOU CAN EARN EXTRA CASH ONLINE

11 WAYS YOU CAN EARN EXTRA CASH ONLINE business marketing finance management

Digital methods of earning money are actually becoming more and more possible by the hour. The whole world now thrives on internet tech and as the planet becomes ever more interconnected, it is actually becoming a whole lot easier to offer services and goods from just about anywhere. Here are 11 easy ways that enterprising people are using internet technology to bring in extra money.

1) Selling on eBay

The number one online source for selling your belongings is undoubtedly eBay. The popular site has a truly international reach and its multiple purchasing formats include auctions, best buy offers, or “buy it now” deals. What makes it even better is that eBay is mobile, which allows sellers to upload images of goods ranging from wooden clogs to movie tickets. The listings are totally free if auctions span more than five days, and receiving your payment is fairly guaranteed so long as you have an active PayPal account and manage to maintain a satisfactory reputation as a seller. The seller can if they wish opt to pay for the shipping, or else they can just include it in the final payment amount when the transaction is processed. eBay has been around for years, and although it’s a convenient way to make some quick money from unwanted goods, it can also have a much slower turnaround if the seller’s rating are low.

2) Freelancing

Many folks possess the type of skills that aren’t necessarily suitable for an office environment, or maybe there just isn’t much demand for that particular service in your area. However, by simply working online as a freelancer you can actually be a remote employee for as many clients as you can manage to acquire. Internet sites such as upwork.com, freelancer.com, and guru.com all implement a quite small project fee. However you will ultimately have the great opportunity to be your own employer and work the hours that suit you. Payments are always easily accessible via PayPal or can be directly deposited in your bank account, once you have verified your identity. The good news is that freelance work exists in just about every industry you can think of, but some of the most common ones between these sites include the likes of marketing, graphic design, content writing, social media management, and web development.

12 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS COMING BACK

12 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS COMING BACK

12 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS COMING BACK

Every one of your customers is valuable like silver, but the repeat ones are absolutely golden. Not only do these customers keep returning, but they most likely do a whole load of word-of-mouth advertising for your business. One recent study out of the Harvard Business School discovered that “increasing customer retention rates by five percent increases profits by 25 percent to 95 percent.” As big national chains expand, creative restaurants open and cool boutiques thrive, it’s always very challenging to entice new customers and then to convert them into loyal, return customers. The great news is that it can actually be done with a little effort and some sensible measures.

1) Innovate

You need to run daily, weekly or seasonal specials on your menu, and try to spice up your inventory on a very regular basis. You obviously need your repeat clients to be intrigued, to always keep coming back in because there’s always something different or innovative about your business. These will be the adventurous types who like you, your business, and your ethos, and they will always thrive on different tastes, colors, trends or styles.

2) Stay traditional.

As the old saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Don’t ever mess with what works. Always try to keep those bestselling basics or products or services just as they always are. These type of customers come to your business not for the sheer thrill of something new, but for the basic stability of what they already know they like. It might seem same ol’, same ‘ol, predictable perhaps, but these reliable customers will always contribute a fair share of your bottom line bread and butter.

3) Communicate.

Constant communication – by blog or on Facebook – is obviously key in letting your existing and potential customers know what’s new, what’s different, what’s the same, what’s in style, what new fish dish is on the menu, what’s trending. People will make their buying decisions based on the information available, and so it’s your job to get that info to them. Employ a professional scribe if you don’t have the time, skill or inclination to do it yourself. Most writers are desperately poor, so you could always try to trade your product or service for the writing. Seriously, even the most talented ones will often write for food…

7 GREAT WAYS TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS

7 GREAT WAYS TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS

best ways to dress for success business finance management work clothes

Whatever you might think, dressing for success is really not very difficult and it doesn’t actually have to be too expensive. It is simply a matter of properly thinking through your wardrobe and therefore avoiding fashion mistakes that you’ll probably look back upon with sheer embarrassment. By properly dressing for success, most men can actually open up a great deal of new opportunity. Well-dressed men are far more likely to be noticed, let’s face it, and will gain new levels of attention and respect that they just couldn’t get if they didn’t put just a little more extra effort into their dress, grooming and appearance.

Following are 7 great ways in which you can dress for success for any generation. Some may actually be so darn obvious that you didn’t even think about them. Some others may surprise you until you give the idea some decent thought.

1) Dress for who you actually want to be

This is actually a very common expression among many workplaces. Resume coaches and career counselors will always emphasize this simple tip. However, a few people actually take the time needed to follow this advice. Dressing for who you really want to be does not mean wearing a Boss suit into your office every single morning. In actual fact, that may actually prove to be a pretentious hindrance that will just keep you from reaching the next pay-level in your work. .

Dressing for who you want to be is really more about just dressing a step above all the others that you work with. For just one example, if everyone else wears blue jeans into the office, you should always wear slacks or khakis. Also, if everyone else wears plain t-shirts, then you should wear something like a long-sleeve button down.

It is as simple as being noted as a sharp dresser, but also not dressing so well as to make others feel uncomfortable. One great way to put yourself in this particular mindset is to pick out a leader whom you really want to emulate. Then put that person in your own place, and ask yourself how you think they would dress. If Prince William was suddenly an accounts specialist, instead of the future King of England, he most probably wouldn’t wear a t-shirt and jeans into his work, nor would he wear an expensive crown!. However, he is probably savvy enough to wear something politely stylish that would fall somewhere in between.

9 GREAT BUSINESS IDEAS FOR 2016

9 great business ideas for 2016 best ideas for a new business business finance

Starting your very own business is the ultimate dream for so many people, yet the fact is that most don’t know where to even start. Which is why we’re here to help! If you are seriously considering starting your very own business, however, just take a look at these nine trending small business ideas. Maybe one will suit you!

1) Being a Senior Home Companion

Anyone who has been online and properly researching what re the best up and coming jobs available will doubtless have noticed that many of them are centered on taking care of the elderly. This is due to all those so-called “baby boomers” of America’s golden age coming to their very own golden age. With many unfortunately suffering from diseases such as dementia, Parkinson’s, and arthritis, to name just a few common illnesses, they will obviously need help just to live their day to day lives. Oftentimes, most of their offspring either live too far away or else they work too much to be around to take care of them at all times. Of course, this particular job requires special tact. But if you have always enjoyed taking care of old people and if you have a special love for the elderly, then this could be a great opportunity. If you feel more inclined to take care of young children, then a daycare facility could be taken into consideration.

2) Social Media Consultant

Are you one of those people who simply can’t live without having your cellphone in your hand, always switching from one cool app to the next, and constantly monitoring what your many social media friends are getting up to? Then there might just be a great job in it for you. Nowadays most businesses and public figures will have a social media campaign of some sort, and they will need competent people to run it. Most will probably look for some kind of communications and/or English degrees (which is a real coup for those ex-students who were told that their degree was “useless”). You should obviously be able to learn how to properly time social media posts, from content to official launch time. Seriously, this can be a really fun, fast-paced career with many opportunities to potentially meet some super cool people, such as professional athletes or famous Hollywood actors through various promotions you might be involved in.

8 WAYS TO BECOME A BETTER BOSS

8 WAYS TO BECOME A BETTER BOSS

8 ways to become a better boss business management accounting marketing finance

Let’s face it: being an employer is a really tough job, and it often doesn’t seem to be as rewarding as it should. Being a boss doesn’t need to be any more difficult, but it can be made a whole lot easier. Here are eight ways in which you can improve yourself, your work environment and your working relationship with your employees so that your sales team is truly the very best in the business.

1) Take care of yourself

All too often, employers spend so much time stressing about their employees, the company, and managing everything, that they actually forget to take care of themselves. The reality is that your health, both mental and physical, is of huge importance to your capabilities as captain of the ship. Your first priority should be to make sure you are in a good place. When you need a vacation, take a vacation. The same goes for getting enough rest and for managing your workload. Your own judgement is sound, so make sure that you don’t overwork yourself. This is absolutely fundamental to your success as an employer, and will actually help you build a strong rapport with your employees and your clients. Your business or sector depends on you and your physical and mental well-being, so please make sure that you stay healthy, fit and able to give your myriad of tasks 100%. The energy and vibes that you provide will filter down and actually help your employees to emulate your state.

2) Be open and transparent

Often as a boss you have to deal with a lot of knowledge that is not always pleasant to be aware of, while your employees can often be left in the dark. They don’t know what you know, sometimes by necessity, but they do often see what your reaction is to the info. Being very open and very transparent about matters that may be difficult to deal with, such as a drop in company revenue, is often the best way to handle this problem. Inform your employees of the situation (as much as you feel they should know) and you might actually be surprised at their reaction. Oftentimes, they will be willing to help solve the problem. Giving them private info usually helps them to feel more invested in your company, which in turn actually makes them want to work harder. Trust that you have hired the right employees and let them know of the company’s problems.

3) Be interested

Being open usually works both ways. Once you start letting your employees in on some sensitive company info, they will actually want to share info with you as well. Showing genuine interest is where you can really make a serious difference to your working relationship with employees or co-workers. Genuinely listen to whatever they are telling you and respond. Give them advice or feedback, or you can even share some of your own personal experiences. Being able to relate well to the people at your company is vitally important and can really help unite the workplace. Learn about their interests, their strengths and their weaknesses and about what really makes them tick. Feel free to laugh with your employees, but always remember your position as the boss. Showing real interest shouldn’t involve overstepping any boundaries, but rather builds the sense that you are all on a team who must work well together. Stand alongside your employees, instead of being alone out in the front. Honesty, mutual understanding and trust can really work wonders for just about any business.

4) Coach but don’t mollycoddle

Remember that your employees are not actually your children (unless, of course, it’s a family business), they’re your team. Of course, you can be friends
with them, but always make sure that you’re pushing them to reach their full potential at the same time. When they goof off, don’t take it lightly. Make sure there are always very clear expectations set out around what it is you expect from them, and make sure that they understand the message. Give them honest feedback and good advice on their projects, and always be encouraging, but be sure to bring out your hard side when necessary. Ultimately, the thing is that they really need to know who is in charge all the time, and unfortunately being overly friendly/ kind really is a sure-fire way to make them forget the dynamic. Your main relationship with your employees should always be one of proper guidance and productivity. Equally, make sure you’re not being too harsh. Always give them any constructive criticism in private, and always try to ensure that they realise that you’re all on the same side.

5) Remember that your employees are people

In addition to being a fundamental part of your company and the very reason for your job, bosses always have to remember that their employees are people too. Just like you do, they probably have quite complex lives outside of work. So while slacking off shouldn’t be allowed, you really can’t expect everyone to be on their A game at all times. If you happen to notice that somebody is struggling at work, then your first move usually shouldn’t be disciplinary. Rather, sit them down for a casual chat, and you may discover that something else entirely is affecting the way they perform. This can often easily be resolved from your perspective (i.e. you can redistribute their workload around the team, taking some weight off their shoulders). Treating your employees respectfully is usually a terrific way to earn their undying loyalty and respect: they won’t ever forget that you looked out for them, and that you went over and above to assist them instead of simply letting them sink.

6) Your own accountability

Your whole team needs to be accountable for their professional actions – and remember that this includes you too. Poor judgement is not a fault, rather it’s a human mistake that just about everyone makes at certain times. Certain things might seem avoidable and stupid, but remember it’s easy to do. Some slip-ups inevitably are going to happen, but that also doesn’t mean you should simply ignore them. Always ensure that you hold the right people responsible and try to use whatever mistakes or errors as learning curves for the whole team. Getting great results always depends on every member of the team being reliable, so let employees know when you feel that they could have done something better or more efficiently. Admit it when you are wrong and have made a mistake and your entire team will take the hint. If you’re open with them about your own faults or imperfections, they’ll usually feel better about admitting theirs to you.

7) The importance of taking feedback on board

When you’re the boss, very member of your team is always watching you. This might seem a little frightening, but if you can commit yourself to doing the very best work you possibly can, then it’s actually a really positive thing. Any kind of feedback that you get from a member of your team is really valuable to your own personal/ professional development. Properly listening to your team members will help you to become more self-aware, and therefore a better boss or leader. Positive feedback will usually make you feel great, but any negative feedback can be equally as useful. No matter how cruel or critical the feedback may initially seem, you’ll realise if there’s any kernels of truth in it. This can really help you to become the best kind of employer – a person that recognizes their own personal flaws. Try to make sure that you learn and grow from the feedback and then your team will try to do the very same when you give them your advice. So it becomes a win-win situation that will allows the whole team to become more productive.

8) Communicating well

Communicating well might seem very obvious and fundamental, but it’s also a crucial part of being a good employer. This is something that sometimes can also be easy to forget. Always try to be clear and consistent in your dealings with everyone (whether they are employees, co-workers or clients). Communication is probably the most important part of your job, and strong communication will help to bring the whole team together while lousy communication will unfortunately tear them apart. Every single task that you set and project you oversee should come with a very clear set of requirements and expectations for the team to follow, which have also been agreed on with the client. If everyone knows what’s happening and can do their job properly, they won’t be fumbling around with some vague unintelligible instructions that you’ve given. Handling situations appropriately – whether personal problems or professional ones – is another key aspect of communicating, and will always garner respect. Strong communication from you will allow your team to perform efficiently and to a high standard.

Hire some help to free your time up from small tasks

Hire some help to free your time up from small tasks

Hire some help to free your time up from small tasks

OK, not everybody can afford to hire domestic staff. Sadly we’re not all as rich as someone like Donald Trump or Bill Gates. But you don’t have to be. Hiring someone can save you a lot of time. And time is money, people!

Some people think it is foolish to hire someone to do something that you can do yourself? There is something to say about hiring other folks to clean your house, take care of your pool and your garden, massage your wife, or even mow her lawn.
Honestly, there are several really great reasons to hire someone else to do your work for you. Not in the least is that you are spreading wealth and helping to provide employment to other folks. For example, though, generally a guy you are hiring has a lot more expertise than you – and also the right tools for doing the job right. Oftentimes they can also perform the task assigned very much faster than you, and hopefully do a far better job at it.
If you save time by hiring in some help then this is now time that you can spend on yourself, your business, or just planning out the next day. If you can afford it and justify the expense, hiring someone else is not only a great way to get a whole lot done in your already overloaded work schedule, but it is also a great way to slow down, which is in itself a very clear way to identify that you have saved a significant amount of time in your normal schedule.

Personally, I wish I could hire someone else in to write out all of these dang lists for me!!! That would save me a bunch of time!!!

Make Sunday your cook day to save time on preparing meals

Make Sunday your cook day to save time on preparing meals

How much time do you spend preparing meals each day? Probably quite a lot, right? There are better ways to prepare your weekly eats. You can freeze or can prepare certain meals, like prep and cut vegetables that are to be used during the week, and boil all of your pasta and rice for the week.

The basic idea is to prepare all, or at least most, of your main meals on one day of the week – most likely a Sunday (forget about it being a day of rest!!). . By pre-prepping and actually cooking everything on the very same day, which generally only takes a matter of a couple of hours, you can actually save yourself so many more hours during the week while doing the same thing.

Big hearty meals such as thick stews, soups, stews, and meat chili are particularly low maintenance. Better still, they often taste far better several days later. This is because the foods all have a chance to meld together and form something really nice and tasty.

Of course, it’s always different strokes for different folks. But whether you use Sunday, or any other day of the week (like Monday or Tuesday or Friday, for example), or prep one week or even a month ahead, the main goal is simply to do everything at once instead of breaking your cooking up into multiple segments throughout your week. The great thing is that by prepping everything at the very same time, you save yourself a ton of time during the week – which is usually when most folks feel their most exhausted.
