Put your coffee maker on a timer so you can go quickly in the morning
We all love a steaming cup of Joe in the morning….well, at least I know that I do! This is a really neat trick that many people use when they’re working overnights. It’s really simple: they just put their coffee maker on a timer. You may not really think of this as a major time saver, but actually after practicing it for just a few weeks, you will hopefully realize just how much time you do actually save. If you think this is just for folks who usually relish in the old-fashioned, (that is non-K-cup universe), prepping your caffeine fix the night before actually really helps for both the K-cup fanatics and also the traditionalists!
The early morning is usually all about doing a bunch of complicated stuff (at least it can seem as though it’s complicated when you’re just out of bed), in a really, really short and stressed period of time, while you’re usually very tired. All of your inept fumbling, attempted decision making (ha!), and really snail slow pace, can actually cost you a lot of precious time. In just making a simple cup of coffee that precious time can amount to as much as 5-15 minutes.
By setting your coffee maker on a timer you get to wake up to the gorgeous aroma of freshly brewed Joe in the morning. Scientific studies actually show that certain substances, such as coffee, can do more to get someone out of bed than anything else. So they actually act as a very effective alarm clock.
Note: if you work in Starbucks or any other coffee house you might not want to do this one!!! Ha, ha!
